SAS-AM supported SMEC Australia in delivering FMECA defect mapping and condition-based severity assessment for BHP's Under Harbour Tunnel (UHT) at Port Hedland, Western Australia. We mapped 2,250 field defects to 54 FMECA items and updated severity ratings using actual inspection data, providing BHP with an evidence-based foundation for tunnel maintenance and renewal planning.
